Human Services Professional Program

Associate in Applied Sciences (AAS) Degree and Certificate Programs

About

TCC's Human Services Professional program prepares students to work as practitioners in social, mental health and addiction service agencies; and non-profit organizations, schools and prisons. You’ll learn about human behavior and social problems, and how individuals interact with systems to address these issues. Students will use these skills to help people meet their physical, mental, and emotional needs.

Human Services can earn stand-alone certificates or an associate degree. The Human Services Program Pathway consists of the Case Aide Certificate, the Chemical Dependency Certificate, and the Associate of Applied Science in Human Services Degree.

Students can continue on to earn their Bachelor of Applied Science in Community Health Degree at TCC and/or enter the workforce. The Evergreen State College and UMass Global also accept the Associate of Applied Science Human Services degree for direct admission as a junior. Talk to your academic and/or Human Services advisor about other bachelor's programs that might be right for you.

Graduates can also enter the workforce. Explore Human Services careers here.
