Paralegal Program
Become a Paralegal at TCC
TCC’s American Bar Association-approved program offers options to those who wish to pursue a career in the exciting, fast-growing field of legal services. Graduates may be eligible for positions in a law office, legal department of a corporation, public agency, court system, private investigation firm and paralegal services.
What do paralegals do?
Paralegals are trained to:
- Prepare legal documents
- Prepare clients for court hearings and mediation
- Conduct research and investigations
- Interview clients and witnesses
- Prepare probate inventories
- Help attorneys in litigation
- Organize and index documents
Paralegals cannot provide legal services directly to the public, except as permitted by law.
Paralegal Program
The TCC Paralegal Program is approved by the American Bar Association. The program offers both degree and certificate options to those interested in pursuing a career in the legal services field and providing services under the supervision of an attorney.
Associate of Applied Science
An associate degree program designed to prepare students for a career as a paralegal or legal assistant.
Paralegal Pro-Certificate
Designed for those who already possess an associate or bachelor degree and wish to enter the legal services profession.
