Heather Ruiter

About

Born and raised in the South Sound area, Heather continues to call it home, where she enjoys spending time with her teenage son and their corgi. In her free time, she loves exploring historical recipes and participates in a monthly historical culinary night here in the community. Heather also plans to further her education and is thrilled to be part of the Tacoma Community College family.  Heather brings a wealth of experience, having served as an Accommodation Specialist for 11 years at UW Tacoma. In addition to her professional background, Heather is a passionate advocate for Disability Justice, volunteering at the national level.
