Emergency Funding

Get a Hand-Up

The Student Emergency Fund is a source of financial support for students that can help cover things like rent, utilities, transportation, childcare, medical, non-tuition related fees, technology, and books.

You may be eligible for this one-time financial assistance for the school year, however, TCC cannot guarantee funds to cover partial or full financial hardships. Help is not immediate and final approval is determined by a review committee.

Our Process

  • If you are experiencing a hardship requiring assistance, please submit your request to thecenter@tacomacc.edu, or stop by our office, “The Center” located next to room 114 within Building 11.
  • This request will begin the official intake screening process with our team.
  • If eligible for funding, you will be notified via email within 2-3 business days (not including the weekend).
  • If not eligible for funding, our team will provide you with additional resource to assist.

Key Requirements

  • You must be an active registered student.
  • Note: Financial Aid recipients' status will be verified and may impact the funding amount.
