TCC Resources Available to Students
Tacoma Community College is dedicated to offering its students a variety of resources to support their success in their academic and personal lives. You can find more information about each program by visiting their website.
Life Resources
2-1-1: Offers a wide range of services to Washington State residents such as food, health care and more.
Tacoma Housing Authority and Other Resources: Assists and supports those most in need of housing find and secure safe and affordable housing.
TCC Food Pantry: Provides food to get through the day and food for home. Below are some local programs for food.

- University Place Food Bank
Free ORCA Pass: This is a program to introduce public transportation services to current TCC students.
TCC Early Learning Center: Provides child care for staff, faculty and students.
Counseling: At TCC we have a counseling team that cares deeply about student’s growth and success, and are here to support.
Career Center: Help students reach both short and long-term career goals.
Beyond the Binary: The initiative works to identify, train, and support advocates of the LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Intersex, Transgender and Questioning) community on TCC's campuses.
- Resources for LGBTQ+ Individuals: Additional resources for all people who identify as LGBTQ+.
Student Emergency Assistance: For current enrolled students who are experiencing financial hardships, we have an emergency funding source that may be able to assist.
Academic Resources
TCC Outreach: Provides enrollment support for all new and prospective students.
New Chances: Provides personalized support for students in Pierce County to pursue their education after release from incarceration.
Enrollment Services: Primarily responsible for student enrollment and houses policies and forms for a successful start.
Advising: Connect with a pathways advisor to discuss academic and career opportunities.
Access Services: Provides reasonable accommodations and support services for students with disabilities.
Titan PULSE Mentors: Are student mentors who are impactful campus leaders, relationship builders, and advocates for students.
Titan Technology Resources: Need a laptop or a hotspot? TCC has resources available for our students.
Learning Innovation: Providing technical supports for students: password updates, online course navigation and submitting assignments in Canvas, equipment loaners and much more
Information Commons: Provides studying individual and group study rooms with computers as well as quarterly or hourly equipment rentals. They also can help reset TCC student accounts.
Library: Provides study spaces as well as book and equipment rentals.
The Center for Student Advocacy and Cultural Support: provides comprehensive programs and services for all students who may be: first generation, economically disadvantaged, or have disabilities.
Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA): empowers underrepresented students by providing them a community that supports their pathways to higher education in STEM, through mentorships, academic programs, and interactive workshops.
Certification & Testing Center & GED®: Provides a comfortable testing environment in a state-of-the-art facility with brand new computers.
Open Education Resources (OER): Are teaching materials available at little or no cost that can be used for teaching, learning or research.
Tutoring Centers
Business Education Center (BEC): Provides drop-in and appointment tutoring support for students taking any business-related classes such as accounting, economics and more.
Math Advising Resource Center (MARC): Provides drop-in tutoring support for students taking any math classes including statistics.
Writing & Tutoring Center (WTC): Provides drop-in and appointment tutoring support for students taking many subjects except for statistics.
